Friday, Saturday, and Sunday's homework is pretty straight forward. Finish your assignments, practice your times tables, and knowing place values up to the hundred thousands. Simple, right?

So, let's shake things up a little bit.

Times Tables

  • Ever wanted to run a fish shop? You can with this game from multiplication.com, but your customers are kind of strange. They don't know what the names of the fish are, so they'll give you a multiplication equation to solve to figure out which fish they want. (By the way, there are a whole bunch of other games you can try at multiplication.com!)
  • But what if you want to practice certain times tables for next weeks drills? (hint, hint). WMnet has the tool for you! Load up this game, pick Times Tables, choose the one you want to practice and off you go. How many right answers can you get in 60 seconds?

Place Value
How about a little song to show you how to read your place value? Check out this one by Mr. R.
  • Maybe you'd like a little help with your homework? Check out this great tool from Web Math that will help you figure out the place value of any digit in a number you give them.

Great, now what about something a little more .. fun?
  • Itchy clicker finger? How far can you get in this tank shooting game by Toon University. Be warned, you need to know your math!
  • Tanks aren't your thing? How about something a little more tame. How fast can you figure out the questions in this words to numerals game from AAA Math?

  • Need a little extra challenge? Try your luck at Who Wants to Be a Place Value Millionaire? by Quia. We haven't learned all this stuff yet, so don't worry if it's a little hard. Pretty soon it'll be a piece of cake!

(PS - don't forget to finish your written homework too!)
